At Highcliffe Sixth, we pride ourselves on the quality of the personalised support we offer our students personally and academically. Being a smaller Sixth Form when compared to a larger college means we get to know our students as individuals empowering us to offer bespoke advice and guidance. Small class sizes allow us to personalise the academic support and intervention we offer both inside and outside of the classroom. Sixth Form tutors provide guidance and support via one to one and small group ‘university style’ tutorials and each year group has a dedicated Head of Year who plans, tracks and supports their year groups journey in the Sixth Form.

Our dedicated Sixth Form Study Mentor, being a recent Degree and Masters graduate, is expertly equipped to guide and support students with their critical thinking and study skills, helping to bridge the gap from GCSE and preparing them for possible academia beyond the Sixth Form.

Students have access to an in school Careers Adviser and we offer a variety of opportunities to attend conferences and careers fairs to help students make informed choices about their future. We also invest annually into a package called Unifrog which is an on-line destinations platform which brings all the available future pathway information into one single, impartial, user friendly platform that helps students to make the best choices, and submit the strongest applications.
